I loved the plot of the story. The warriors are delicious. What drove me crazy were the women. Ugh!!! These brats were annoying. They are overbearing, take a million risks with no regard for their safety and the warriors have to then be continually saving them from themselves. So annoying. They also blame the warriors for not being completely upfront with them but then they turn around and keep they're own secrets. I like stories that show the couples working together. This is the second time I read this story and I still feel the same. If you make these women less annoying this would be an awesome series.

Anita Clenney really has out-done herself with this her second book in here Highland Warrior series. She had me on the edge of my seat eagerly awaiting the outcome and becoming even more intertwined in the lives of the characters I became involved with in her first book Awaken the Highland Warrior. She has a unique skill and I am anxious to read her next spin on the ongoing tales of her warriors.
Thank you to for the reader for my P.C. that allows me to enjoy Anita and all my other favorite authors with just one click. Two Thumbs up.

I found the heroine -- Shay so annoying and judgemental!!! Every decision she initially made was to punish those she love for not telling her things while she kept her own secrets. If she hadn't been so aggravating I would have given 5 stars! It was well written and great plot!
Another great adventure by Anita Clenney. This is the second book I have read by Anita and like the first book it was very difficult to put down. From the first page to the last it was fast, exciting on the edge of your seat great. I would recommend reading her first Warrior book before you read this one but do read it if you enjoy exciting hot sexy warriors whom know how to handle a sword.
One thing that draws me to series books is if I really love the first book, I just have to read the rest because I just can't get enough of these characters. I want to revisit them again and again and this book was no exception. I devoured the fist book and I knew almost immediately I just had to read the second.

Like Bree, I really loved Shay- she is a spitfire and that lately has been my favorite type of heroine. And even though she is tough as nails type of girl, she has the soft side too. As for Cody, oh yes definitely my type of hero, fiercely protective and doesn't stop to get what he wants. I loved how their relationship was already thare. It was a refreshing change, instead of guy meets girl , boy, smex action, refusal of feelings type of deal. They have a history and I liked that.

Oh one thing I have to mention is the secondary characters, Ronan(I so love him and I really hope he gets his own book), Brode and several others are back as well as Shay's Aunt Nina and Matilda. Matlida I love her, she is very unique and so funny.

This book also had some jawing dropping moments, I have to say I didn't see coming but still left me with some questions as well. No, before you ask there is no cliffhanger just some unanswered questions that I hope get answered in the third book.

I can almost say this book was better than the first, which as all of you know I loved quite a bit. Anita did well with the sequel and can't wait for book 3, Unleash the Highland Warrior. Which still don't know the date and its driving me crazy. I know I will be getting it as soon as its available.

So if you read the first book then this one is a must read for you as well.
I like historic pieces and kind of fell into this one by accident. I started with and finished one before I realized it was part of a trilogy. I quickly bought all three and read them quickly. I have to say I liked this last one the best. I liked the fact that the couple already had a history, I liked that they had to work through some difficult relationship issues, and I like how they connected the sisters and showed their special warrior like skills. I'd like her to keep writing about these glorious warriors.. Jaime and Ronan and the others are due their own stories! Write on!
I couldn't wait to read this book after I finished Faelan and Bree's story. This book is about Cody McBain and his family of warriors who are in Virginia to protect Shay Logan. Well, Shay doesn't know that and she has no idea of the secrets that are in the house and the boy next door. They fall in love, she finds out things and runs away for years and returns with her own secrets. Sparks are still between her and Cody and there is someone out to get Shay so he is there to protect her. Great plot and questions finally answered for all involved. Can't wait for the next one
Awesome! Loved this book. I want join the Connor Clan. The next book is about Tavis?? WTH??? How can this be? Yeah you bet I can't wait to read the next one. Don't be fooled by the covers , this is a highlander book but its modern day. In fact kilts aren't worn as much as jeans but that's ok. Swords are used still as well and there are women warriors. Oh yeah!!
