This book was not the Kendall Ryan I am used to reading. These words were simpler with a hint of mystery. They flowed with a slow southern burn for more. There was no rush to conquer the story here, yet rather a longing to draw out every word and prolong the story for as long as possible. The book is called Sexy Stranger and I was left trying to figure out who was sexier and who held the mystery and title of Stranger.First of all, society meets southern is one of my favorite story lines! It's the brash meets country and everything about this clash is HOT! Charlotte and Luke are no exception. They but heads and make no qualms about their utter distaste for each other. Until they enter the slow and steady runs ins in town and the need to search each other out. Heat'n up all those pages with a lusty goodness that Kendall can write like no one else!
I ATE THIS BOOK UP! I love Kendall and everything she writes so this was a no brainer. This book was very fluid and easy to read. I enjoyed it's sultry simplicity and the characters that lit up the pages. Totally recommend this book and all things Kendall Ryan ;) 4.5 stars- FMR Book Grind

Omg this book was simply amazing... being a country girl, I loved the country vibe... this story has heartbreak, money and whiskey... but most of all, it's the sweetest love story!!! Happy reading )
Oh my, Kendall Ryan can rock a male lead. Mmmm. Yummy. Now I'm craving craft whiskey. Luke and Charlotte's enemies to lovers is another brilliant story by this prolific author. May she ever be the same and keep them coming. Hoping siblings Duke and Molly have stories coming. I'm not quite ready to leave Shady Grove yet.
These two were adorable. Charlotte passed me off at first but quickly grew on me. I loved Luke from the beginning and could tell he was a good man. I won Yuri love loved to see more interactions with him and his siblings because the few we saw were great and I think there was a lot of potential for some really funny scenes. Overall, a very cute book.
I really enjoyed this book! It was interesting. steamy and had great characters. Charlotte was a bit stand offish at first but quickly became a great character. And I loved Luke. He was just super sweet and caring. I also liked that Molly and Duke were in the story as well. I liked the small town and family feel. A really good read with a happy ending. I would definitely recommend this book for a read!
I loved this book! Luke and Charlotte were so great together! You get the first impression that Charlotte is a stuck-up rich girl, but really she is just trying to be herself. Something she's never really had the chance to be. Luke was the one to bring that out of her, and show her how great it could be (even if he didn't know that was what he was doing). I loved their connection. A Great must read!!
Charlotte is running away from her family and the ex-fiancé she left in New York. She wants a new start and is moving to Los Angeles to live with her best friend Valentina. On the drive to LA, her car breaks down in Shady Grove, Texas, and Charlotte is told it’ll be a week before the repairs can be made. When Charlotte first meets Luke, their interaction is snappy and unfriendly. But the sexual chemistry is there and both are surprised by their response. Within a day of being around each other, it’s obvious one week wont be enough.
I absolutely adored Luke. The man is hot and super sweet, plus he had a great personality. Charlotte is fierce and has no trouble whatsoever standing up for herself. Once they stopped snapping at each, it was obvious they were perfect together. Both Charlotte and Luke had secrets regarding past relationships and needed to work those out in order to move forward.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and all the secondary characters. I’m really hoping to see more of Duke, Luke’s twin, together with Valentina in the future. I’d also love to get a story on Molly, their sister.

Sexy Stranger by Kendall Ryan is a standalone romance told in dual POV. While it is a standalone I'm hoping that it will be the first in a series of standalone's based in the small town of Shady Grove, Texas. This book is about a city girl stranded in a small rustic town who gets off on the wrong foot with one of the Wilder twins while also getting under his skin.
Luke Wilder is a monogamous kind of guy, the opposite of his twin, Duke's, man-whoring ways. He also has an issue with being left by the women in his life and has walls built up against it. First his mother, then his fiancée. When he feel the attraction build with this sexy stranger, Charlotte, he is determined to follow through with the idea of a "fling" and move on when she leaves Shady Grove on her way to her final destination, LA.
Charlotte Freemont is on the run. She left a situation in New York and is headed to LA to her best friend when her Audi breaks down in the middle-of-nowhere, Texas, also known as Shady Grove. With no Starbucks and only one mechanic she is settling in at the B&B for the few days the repair will take. She will NOT investigate her intrigue in Luke Wilder. She will NOT agree to spend any time with this arrogant sexy stranger. She will NOT... Oh, who is she kidding? She explores the attraction they have and is willing to consider that Shady Grove is more than the one-stop town she originally thought it was. But will the town be as accepting of her as she is of it?
Well-paced and well-written, the chemistry between Luke and Charlie just bubbled off the page. The secondary characters, Valentina, Duke and Molly, were also wonderful. I loved this and am hoping that the upcoming novel listed on her Goodreads book list Hunky Heartbreaker is set in this same town and could be Duke's book. My fingers are crossed. Enjoy!
